A child offered my son a pretzel after school. My son took it and ate it. After all my education with him I would have never expected him to take it. This simple act nearly cost us dearly. We aren’t out of the woods yet, but he has stabilised. I gave him an epi pen early and then the ambulance administered more on the way to hospital. All in all it has been a harrowing experience, from cars not moving out of the way of the ambulance, to the catheter not going in and blood squirting everywhere. First time he fought me so hard not to get an epi pen.
Thanks for your positive thoughts and comments- I’ll read them all when I stop shaking. Dean is looking back to normal now and just monitoring for any possible biphasic reaction.
